About the Event
Within this yoga practice we will be honouring the Autumn Equinox and the seasonal changes. The changing seasons are a key point in the cycle of life in nature. Autumn represents the Harvest time of year, a time to acknowledge growth and expansion as a natural evolution of our being. Our lives go through cycles of growth, harvest, death, and rebirth just as we see in nature.
The word “equinox” comes from Latin and means “equal night,” referring to the roughly 12-hour day and 12-hour night that occurs only on the two equinox days of the year. On this autumn equinox we will be honoring the light and the dark, the death of the trees and leaves, only for them to be reborn again in the spring.
Within this yoga and meditation practice you will be invited to giving thanks, and find gratitude for areas of personal growth and ask for harmony and balance for the winter months ahead. Autumn is the time of year to set our intentions and make room for what’s to come in the next year. We create room for our greater visions to grow, to be creative whilst quietly listen to what our body and mind needs.
You will be encouraged to take some time in this workshop to acknowledge your life cycle and in doing so, you are honoring, not only your own growth but giving graditute for the health and wellness of yourself and your fellow yogi's.
